14 K gold. 5 accent diamonds F/G color and VS1/VS2 clarity. Size 11.
Purchased from Tenenbaum's Jewelry.
Rings can easily be re-sized by a jeweler.
Since we can't wear rings at work, we hate to see these just sit in a jewelry box! They were never appraised because we never insured them, but the clerk at Tenenbaum's estimated both rings worth at $4,500 - $5,000 now (they said an appraisal may estimate it higher because they factor in replacement cost, not retail cost which Tenenbaum's based their estimate on). Tenenbaum's told me that rings appreciate 3-4% per year according to the RDI, an industry benchmark for diamonds and the price of gold fluctuates, but when we bought the rings in 1999 we paid $3,212 including tax for everything.
