Rebuilt Trek 520 with new paint and clear coat. Paint color is copper
With serial number it looks to be a 1995 model.
Trek calls this a 58cm, however that is to the top of the seat tube which sticks up above the top tube.
Frame is in perfect alignment, rear dropout spacing is 135mm.
If you measure c-t of the top tube it is 22 in. or a 56 cm.
Stand over is 31 7/8 in. From the factory it was 31.7 in. stand over.
This was in horrible shape when purchased, but like new now.
From the factory it was a 3x7 drivetrain, now it is a 3x8.
The gearing in the rear was increased from a 11x28 to a 11x32, so now you have lower gears.
Also factory had 700x28 tires, now 700x32 with wider rims by Matrix.
Drivetrain by Shimano.
Crank is 24-36-46 Deore with 170mm. arms. I believe the small chain ring is 2 smaller than from the factory.
In other words this is set up like todays full loaded tourers.
New parts---derailleur cable housings and 1 new cable---chain---tires---derailleur cartridge bearing pulleys---front hub new bearings---bar tape---new copper paint and clear coat.
Work performed---rebuild both hubs and true both wheels---rebuild bottom bracket---rebuild the headset---rebuild the rear derailleur a complete overhaul---adjust and lube brakes and derailleurs.
Many good used parts to help keep price down.
Bike shifts and brakes like new.
I Believe the new Trek 520 now only comes with disc brakes.
